So what do you guys think? Are all the so-called "tea-baggers" right to be afraid of "losing their country" or is it just extremist conspiracy theories from "divisive" figures?

CNN going to "middle of the road" journalism? Ha! They'd need to get rid of a lot more pundits and programs than Dobbs if that were true! Every major news outlet spins the news through a certain ideological lens.

I have a theory that may or may not help to explain why there is more "backlash" against this administration than there was against the last. And no, it does not involve blind accusations of racism, like many liberal pundits would have you think. Self-proclaimed conservatives outnumber self-proclaimed liberals in this country by a 2:1 margin. If it were the other way around, perhaps we would have seen a bigger liberal "backlash" against many of the Bush policies. I disagree with Stewart to the extent that he acts like there was hardly ANY Bush backlash. There were many more Bush protesters (especially in and covered by the main stream media) than just Code Pink. And we certainly saw Bush "backlash" when the voters went to the polls and elected a democratic majority House, Senate, and now President, did we not? They ran on Bush "backlash" platforms. Unfortunately for them, this campaign strategy won't get them very far in the 2010 midterms or the next presidential election in 2012.

I agree with Dobbs that this country is on an unsustainable path of fiscal irresponsibility, started by the Bush administration, but has really accelerated under the Obama administration.
