All in Good Fun . . .

Ideally, I'd rather be posting about Obama's awesome cabinet nominations or the embarassing pork-ulus bill going through Congress right now. Unfortunately, I lack the time to really dig in and do the proper research about those topics. So instead, I thought I'd treat everyone to this satirical video from The Onion. Enjoy!

I loved the video, it was hilarious. And as for the cabinet picks; some I like and some I'm not so impressed with, but overall I think they are pretty good. And as for the stimulus bill even I think it has gotten way out of hand. I mean they shouldn't call it a stimulus bill if only a fraction of it is going to stimulate the economy right away. From what I can tell every democrat put submitted a wish list of anything they would ever want to spend money on, then submitted the absolute maximum price they would spend on it, and then now it's all been approved. I'm no expert on the economy but spending trillions of dollars when you don't have very much money doesn't really make sense. But then again I don't make the big bucks to make these decisions so I guess we'll see how it all works out, but for right now I am a little nervous.

Two things on the picks. (1) I guess I am better qualified for high appointed office than I thought I was (I owe a wad in back taxes). (2) What does this mean about the vetting process? Either the question about tax debts wasn't on the vetting questionairre (not good!), or the candidate answered it wrong (not good!!) or the folks doing the vetting didn't care about the answer (not good!!! - and why bother to ask in the first place?)
